What To Expect

Learn what worship is like at 109 Church of Christ, including singing, communion, Bible teaching, and the rhythm of a typical Sunday gathering.

Worship at 109

When we gather each week, our goal is simple. We want to honor God, open His Word, and encourage one another in faith.

Our worship includes prayer, singing, remembering Jesus through communion, and teaching from Scripture. These moments help us focus on God and grow together as a church family.

People from many different backgrounds and stages of life come together here. Some have followed Jesus for many years. Others are still exploring faith and asking questions. Everyone is welcome to listen, learn, and grow.

What Happens During Worship

A typical worship service lasts a little over an hour.

During that time we pray together, sing together, reflect on Jesus through communion, and hear a message from Scripture. Our goal is to focus on God and allow His Word to shape how we live.

Our Singing

Singing is an important part of our worship. Our congregation sings together without instruments, which is known as a cappella singing.

This means the voices of the congregation lead the music. Lyrics are displayed on the screen so you can follow along and join in if you would like.

Communion

Each Sunday we take time to remember the sacrifice of Jesus.

As you enter the Worship Center, you will see baskets where you can pick up the communion elements. During the service we share a moment reflecting on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Teaching and Scripture

Teaching from the Bible is central to our gatherings.

Each week a message from Scripture helps us better understand God's Word and consider how it shapes the way we live. Our desire is to take the Bible seriously and allow it to guide both our faith and our daily lives.

A Church of Christ

For some people, the phrase "Church of Christ" is familiar. For others, it may not mean much at all.

At its heart, the name is simple. We want to belong to Christ, follow His teaching, and be shaped by His Word.

Churches of Christ are not part of a larger denominational structure. Each congregation is led locally by elders who shepherd the church and seek to guide it according to Scripture. Because of this, each church family develops its own culture and ministries while sharing the same commitment to Christ and the Bible.

At 109, our desire is to be a church that loves Jesus deeply, takes Scripture seriously, and lives that faith out with compassion for others.

If you are new to church or still exploring faith, you do not need to know all the background to visit. You are welcome to come, listen, learn, and see what this church family is about.

A Community of Faith

Church is more than a weekly gathering. It is a community of people learning to follow Jesus together.

Throughout the week people connect through Bible classes, ministries, and opportunities to serve others. These relationships help us grow in faith and encourage one another through every stage of life.
