About Us

Who we are, where we come from, and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

Simply put, 109 Church of Christ cares about one thing more than anything else, fulfilling the will of God and serving Him in everything we do. 109 Church of Christ is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus' sacrifice, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom.

Where we come from

109 Church of Christ has a backstory that stems from a congregation in an area rapidly growing. Simply put, there was need seen and a group of people who were willing to do something in order to fulfill that need. We started as a plant supported by Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. We launched in early 2019 and constantly work and pray to make the future brighter than we could ever imagine. We strive to base everything we do on scripture as we want to follow God's will. This is the driving force in everything that we do.

Where we're headed

You may be curious(rightfully so) as to why we are named "109 Church of Christ" when we aren't exactly on Highway 109. Long story short, being on 109 is the plan, but the need facilitated launch prior to being able to move onto Highway 109. Plans have been in the works and are currently underway to build a facility designed to encourage both physical and spiritual growth.

Due to the way Wilson County is expanding and the time for planning and executing such a construction project, we decided it was time to act and not wait so we launched in a temporary location in order to reach the community with the good news of Christ. During this time, nothing will be different other than location. We will still do whatever we can to ensure that you can grow in your relationship with God and be surrounded by a group of people who want the same thing.
